Utah's Third District Republican primary...
the most watched Congressional race in the country

FIVE QUESTION SURVEY
On May 8, an unknown challenger named Matt Throckmorton of Springville, UT forced four-term incumbent Congressman Chris Cannon into a Republican Party primary race.

Throckmorton's success stunned the political establishment in Utah and set off shock waves in Washington, D.C.

Why did Throckmorton's success stun the Utah establishment?

Because, with almost no name recognition, and with only $11,000, Matt Throckmorton took on 1) the Utah establishment and 2) a four-term incumbent who spent $204,000 to squash him. And Throckmorton won.

Why did Throckmorton's success shock the Washington establishment?

Because Throckmorton achieved his success by making an issue of Cannon's support of amnesty for illegal aliens -- a position extremely unpopular with voters, but very popular with the corporate lobbyists who dump money on Washington.

Why should I take this survey?

Well, it's kinda fun, it's quick, and everyone gets an "A."

Plus, it might help you remember to vote in this important race on June 22!

1. In Utah’s 3rd District Republican primary race, Matt Throckmorton’s supporters stress the importance of trust, while Congressman Cannon’s supporters stress the importance of incumbency. I agree with:

Cannon's supporters: it's very important how long someone has been in Washington.
Throckmorton's supporters: it's very important we have honest representation in government.
